Portugal and France have taken a huge step forward in order to qualify for the world cup 2010. Both France and Portugal played their first leg playoff matches last Saturday and emerged 1-0 winners.
France faced Ireland in Dublin and Nicolos Anelka was the scorer. For Portugal Bruno Alves headed the winner against Bosnia. The second leg will be played this coming Wednesday and I think both France and Portugal will seal their place for next year’s world cup. It will be big loss for the world cup if these two teams don’t qualify.
